National Pet Dental Health Month

It is National Pet Dental Health Month! National Pet Dental Health Month was formed to bring awareness about the importance of preventing periodontal disease in pets! Periodontal disease is the number one most common disease in cats and dogs over three years old, even though it is easily preventable. It  is a disease in the tissues that hold our pets' teeth in place. It is caused by the buildup of bacteria in a sticky film that starts to coat the tooth. It starts below the gumline and works its way up the tooth. Periodontal disease is dangerous because it not only leads to bone loss, bad breath, infection, abscesses and pain, but also organ damage. It is easily prevented by regular professional dental prophy cleanings under anesthesia and a good at home dental hygiene routine.

Start 2020 off right and schedule your pet’s oral exam today! Prevent or help stop the damage that is caused by periodontal disease and we will also guide you through a good at home oral hygiene routine that is best for you and your pet’s lifestyle. Save 10% on all dental services scheduled in February! Keep your fur baby’s smile healthy, happy, and pain free!
