Firework and Thunderstorm Safety Tips

As we approach firework and storm season, we want to remind you about some important tips to keep your pet safe! During this season shelters and veterinarians see an increase in lost pets.  It is important to make sure your pet is not only, microchipped, but also has the most current information attached to the microchip.  Medical aids are recommended to make loud noises such as  fireworks and thunderstorms less traumatic. In addition, we recommend using calming pheromones in your pet's environment such as feliway and adaptil. Keep calming music or television on to help block out loud noises. Most importantly, please keep your fur babies inside this holiday. Sugarloaf Animal Clinic can help you update your microchip information, implant a microchip, help you find the correct pheromone product and dispense medical aids to help make this season less stressful for you and your fur baby. Please call or Text 602-971-2720 with any questions!
