Tips for giving your dog oral medications

The easiest way to give oral medication is by using a pill pocket. We like pill pockets because they are low calorie, they mask the smell and taste of the medicine, and are easily digested. We recommend you split it in half or use two pill pockets. The medication will be hidden in one half and be offered to your fur baby while the other half will be used as a treat to tempt them to swallow the first without hesitation. 

Always make medication time a positive experience ending it with extra love, attention and low calorie treats. This will keep them looking forward to medication time instead of running in the opposite direction.
