As we approach the holiday and kick off the celebrations this weekend and next week, we want to remind you about some important tips to keep your pet safe this holiday! Shelters and veterinarians see an increase in lost pets due to Fourth of July Fireworks. It is very important to make sure your pet is microchipped and that the information associated with the microchip is current.
There are also medical aids to make loud noises such as fireworks and thunderstorms less traumatic. In addition, you can use calming pheromones in their environment such as feliway and adaptil. Keep calming music or television on for background noise to help block out the loud noises of thunder or fireworks. Most importantly please keep your fur babies inside this holiday.
Sugarloaf Animal Clinic can help you update your microchip information, implant a microchip, help you find the correct pheromone product and/or dispense medical aids to help make this season less stressful for you and your fur baby. Please call 602-971-2720 with any questions!
We will be open July 3rd 8am-1pm and closed July 4th, opening regular business hours July 5 from 8am-6pm. In case of emergency please call Phoenix Veterinary Referral and Emergency (602) 765-3700 located at 4015 E Cactus Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85032
